I am having sooooo much fun painting in all our rooms! I love how Jakob's turned out! IT is adorable. It is a very light tan color with the same chocolate trim as the bathroom. I stenciled red stars around the top of the room and there are denim and red accents all through the room. And cute Sherriff stuff for decorations. I think it turned out soo good. I am proud of this one! I am doing Savi's room too, and Audrey want her room Pucker UP green. As you can imagine, it will glow!! I'll post pics when I get them done. I am having so much fun!!!!

Well, I have been painting again! I just re-did Jakob's bathroom, or rather the other hall bathroom since Jakob still uses his diappy. It was deep purple and navy and maroon stripes as you can see in the pic. And now it is "grasscloth" green with chocolate brown trim and cupboards. I have cute bears and Montana stuff and signs that say "bear bottoms welcome, and bear feet welcome." It turned out really cute, and I love the green color.

Mark took the girls camping......in the back yard. They had soooo much fun. Savanna was so excited she couldn't stand it. They had it all decked out with lanters and sleeping bags and books. They fell asleep and around 3:00 am Savi had to go to the bathroom so then she didn't want to go back outside because she saw me sleeping in our bed alone and decided I needed 3 year old company. Mark went back outside, but then he and
Audrey came back in around 3:30. Audrey said once she woke up, the crickets were too loud and she couldn't fall back to sleep. So they tried and made it half the night. But they sure had fun!

Audrey got mail order butterflies for her birthday. We got caterpillars in the mail and they cocooned and grew into butterflies. It was really cool and the kids loved feeding them and watching them. It is starting to cool off so we let them go and these are pics of their new found freedom. It was very cool!

I just thought the kids looked particularly cute before church on Sunday so I decided to snap some pictures. I even caught Jakob doing some light house work before we left. I am such a slave driver!

Well, Audrey did it again!!! Another super successfull dinner made entirely by Audrey! She is quite the budding chef! This time she made crepes! They were delicious! Savanna's favorite combo was huckleberry jam and powdered sugar. Jakob prefered maple syrup, my favorite is powdered sugar with fresh lemon squeezed on top, and I think Audrey liked all of the above. Mark missed this dinner unfortunatly, but there will definatly be a repeat performance.
Crepe recipe:
3 EGGS
1 1/2 CUP MILK
1 CUP PLUS 2 TBLS FLOUR
1 TBLS SUGAR
1/4 TSP SALT
2 TBLS MELTED BUTTER
Put all ingredients in blender in the order listed and blend smooth. Cover and set in fridge for 30 minutes, or overnight. Spread some butter in hot pan, pour 1/4 - 1/3 cup batter in pan and spread around. Cook on first side for about 45 seconds, quickly flip and cook on the other side about 25 seconds. ENJOY!!!!

Jake likes to ride the pony in the back yard. He reallly gets it moving when he wants to. Also this vid proves that he is starting to talk. Just before I took this shot I hollered to Audrey to bring me my camera, and he is yelling "Audrey" at the end of the vid. Cute. He has started calling me by my name. Not mommy, or mama, or mom or even ma, he calls me Na-ee (Natalie). What a kid!

When we were in Florida this summer Mark and I bought Audrey a Ratatouille (Disney movie) cook book. Well Audrey asked if she could make dinner for us this week. She picked:

Linguini Alfredo with Petite Peas (recipe follows)
1 pound Linguini
1 cup frozen petite peas
4 TBLS butter
1 cup heavy cream
2/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic
Boil Linguini according to directions on package. In the last minute or two of boiling add frozen peas. Strain cooked pasta and peas. Set aside.
Bring butter and cream to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens (about 4 minutes) when the sauce leaves a thick coating on back of spoon. Stir in grated cheese, salt and garlic.
Toss with pasta and peas and enjoy!
It was DELICIOUS!! Audrey did the whole dinner, with very little help from me, mainly just supervising and answer questions. It was great! Good dinner and great learing experience. We will let her try out more recipes on us!

Jakob is such a blankie boy. He adores this jungle blankie my friend Heather made him when he was born. He was playing hide and seek with me under his blankie while I mopped the floor today. It was cute!

I did another craft fair last weekend. Audrey stayed with me all day and sold monster cookies. I let her keep most of the proceeds from her cookies. She sat in a chair at the front of our booth and smiled till her cheeks were aching. She had fun. I sold some aprons, and my friend Heather let me take her bows and sell a few of them too. We had lots of fun. It really is fun to make money off of your own handy work. And I really like the craft fair atmosphere.

We actually pulled our 4-wheelers out of the garage!!!!! After Mark cleared all the stuff off of them (they were acting as really expensive shelves) and hosed the spider webs off of them and pumped up the tires and replaced a battery, we were ready to roll. We took them out to our friends house and rode the trails. Unfortunatly we didn't start our 4 wheeling extravaganza until 5 pm which didn't leave much day light. But we did have fun revving our engines and riding some trails! Savi kept saying that daddy was making her noo-vus (nervous). We ate a good dinner and had fun. Mark let Audrey ride one of them around the house by herself which made mommy noo-vus!

This is my new bathroom! Actually it's the old bathroom, I just gave it a make over. I drew and hand painted all the flowers on the cupboard doors and removed all the wall paper. I re-textured the walls and then painted them white with black trim. It is light and clean looking. I love the fun saying in the framed photos and I really love how my cupboard turned out. It's not pottery barn, but it is Natalie!
