BONNIE AND CLYDE TRADING DAYS

This past weekend I got to have a little fun! My friend Heather and I rented booth space at a flea market in Lousiana. I made over 120 aprons and baby blankets, and she makes adorable hair bows for little girls. We had a little trouble with the weather at first and finally had to move inside the big yellow pavillion so our stuff wouldn't blow away. I had 3 different sizes from toddler to child to adult for girls and boys and men and women. It was a lot of fun sewing and getting ready, and making a little money for my hard work. We didn't make as much as we had hoped, but they have these bazaars and craft fairs a lot, and we plan on doing more. It was just fun to get away from our homes for the weekend, have girl talk, sell some crafts, and eat funnel cakes. We had a blast! If you need any aprons, let me know....I have some left overs!

APRONS BY RAINEY DAY CREATIONS

SAFTEY FIRST!!!

In light of all the recent injuries at our home in the past week... i.e.... Jakobs giant gooseegg (which is still there by the way) Savanna tripped and fell into the cabinet and has a black eye and little cute on her eyebrow, and Audrey was running around the corner and botched the turn and has a big bruise above her eye now.....I have implemented a few manditory saftey measures which include, but are not limited too: 1. Helmets, even when just sitting on the couch and watching "Pun Budge" (Sponge bob in Savi lingo) 2. Cages which can be used anytime we need an extra hold on Jakob. You can see we made it smaller, for added safety as this restricts his movement greatly. And 3. Seat belts when just walking around the house, like the one Audrey is wearing. I am hoping this will help to keep our doctor's visits to a minimum, and keep the heads of my sweet children from swelling or discoloration. I'll keep you posted on how it works.

PRINCESS SAVANNA

Sweet Grandma and Grandpa Rainey sent SAvanna these adorable dress up dresses. Savanna makes me sing the Sleeping Beauty song and dance around the room with her. I have to make sure to give her a twirl and also to dip her. She wears them quit often and looks sooo cute!

FOUGHT THE CABINET AND THE CABINET WON!!

You know the song, I fought the Law and the Law won?!? Well just sing it Jake fought the cabinet and the cabinet definatly won!!! I have never in all my years as a mommy seen such a goose egg. It was pulsing, and I think it actually waved at me. After the initial panic and a quick trip to ask the doctors opinion, the little pulsing bugger went down a bit, but was still quite impressive. He got lots of comments at church that eveing, including "Welcome to Manhood Jake. You ain't a man till you had that kinda lump on your noggin". (Rememeber we live in southern Arkansas.) As you can see it didn't keep his spirits down to long. He is a pretty happy baby in spite of the various head wounds he reicieves.

It's the big number 3 for Savanna! She just had her birthday, and these are some of the highlights. She asked for a horsey birthday cake, and I just really don't like Storebought cake or frosting, so I always opt to make the kids cakes for them. I was a little stumped by how to do a horsey cake, but this is what I came up with. It's actually brownies from scratch with homemade frosting and a carosel horse from the imaginings of Natalie. She had lots of friends over, and got a bubble blowing BBQ from G&G Israel, a new puppy pal, a big barbie book, a sleeping beauty umbrella, and some Barbie movies. From mom and dad, she got a new Dora bike which she affectionatly calls her "Backpack motorcycle". All in all she had a great day, and had lots of fun with her friends and fell asleep on the couch when Audrey and she sat down to watch Alvin and the chipmunks. I don't think she even made it through the opening credits. With binkies, and diapers left behind in the year of 2, she has a bold and excited new outlook for the upcomming year of 3!

To Jakob's credit, he is always looking for new, varied and unusual ways to make a mess. Wether it is dumping the cup of spoons all over the table while poaching somebody's half eaten pizza, or finding Savi's goodie bag of M&Ms, or pulling all of his clothes out of his drawers, he is quite creative. After the 3 time in one day of refolding all his clothes, I came to two descisions. #1 He has to many clothes, cuz it takes forever to refold them all and put them away, and #2 I had better keep the door to his room closed because he really enjoys pulling out his clothes and rolling around in them. Whew, it's a full time job just keeping up with Jake.

Dollywood here we come!!!

This is our fun day at Dollywood. It was 34 degrees and snowing. We rode the flying elephants in a blizzard, and I thought Jakie's nose was gonna fall off it was sooo red. You can see how cold Savi was in the picture. In the picture of Mark with Audrey and Jake you can see the snow flakes. We ended up staying an extra 3 days and buying season tickets so we could enjoy dollywood with some warm weather. It did warm up later in the week, but mOnday was a cold one. We had loads of fun on our spring break, hope you did too!! P.S. Do you love the anguish on Audrey's face because I made her ride the rubber duckies with her baby sister. She was embaressed to be seen on the duckies!
