V-DAY FLOWERS

Mark finally got the V-day boquet right. Not that I complain, because any flowers her brings home are always appreciated. But although I like roses, they are not my favorite. I loved this boquet! It was so beautiful! And the Iris's (I think) smelled sooooo good! Everytime you walk in my kitchen the scent was lovely! I came home from dropping Audrey off at dance, and found this little note in the kitchen. She is such a sweet girl! She is always busy at activities and school that I don't get as many pictures of her as I do of Savanna and Jake, but I love her just as much! We went and stayed the night in Louisiana this weekend and had a mommy daughter shopping spree. We had so much fun! Thanks to Daddy for keeping the little ones.
This year for my "Sweetheart Dinner" (I make everyone stay out of the kitchen, don't tell them what I am cooking, and decorate the dining room all up with little gifts at their plates. The suspense is so great trying to guess what I am cooking, and doing in there, it's so fun!) Our menu was snow crab legs for appetizer. A small personal antipasto salad, manacotti with homemade meatballs, and breadsticks, and molten chocolate cake for dessert. It was so great! We had the missionaries over and they rated it the best meal they had had on their missions! Lots of fun!

So easily entertained!

"Hey Jake, I am kind of bored."

"Hey Savi, why don't we get into those empty spaces in the entertainment center."

"Yah Jake, that sounds like fun, let's try it!"

"Yup, you're right! This is great!"

My Pal Jake

Many of you have commented to me that yes, you have raised boys, and NO they have NOT done half the things that my Jaker does. Last week I found him on the counter top, pulling knives out of our knife block and stabbing the bananas. I cleaned up several times when he took his clothes and diaper off (while wearing a snap crotch onsie which was still snapped when I found him) and got poopoo everywhere. The pic of him in "pink" is stencil paint that I had in the back of my junk drawer and had forgotten about. Jakob found it, painted hisself, and reminded me that I was going to use it in the girls bathroom. Not anymore, as none survived.
It may sound like I am an unattentive mother, but I can assure you that he would not have survived this long if I wasn't as attentive as I am. He keeps me hopping from sun up to sundown. I live for his nap times, and bed times, and his sweet little smiling face, even covered in stencil paint. I love my boy. I especially love his "Happily dying of chocolate" pic at the bottom. This was after a particularly good chocolate on chocolate cupcake. I would not change him for anything!
