Mama got a new hairdo!
Well the time has finally come for me to whack all my hair off. It's very short, but I like it. It's sassy. One of the finalists in this seasons Americas next top model had the same 'do. I told my stylist to make me look like her. She did a good job apart from the neck down. But as I told my mom this morning.... There is a skinny girl inside of me screaming to get out, but I can usually shut her up with a cookie. : ) What do ya think of the hair???

Some of you know that Mark is a Sheriff's reserve officer. I tease him and call it his Peter Pan syndrome. You know....I don't wanna grow up! I just wanna play cops and robbers and wear a gun and handcuff's. He really does take it seriously, and loves it. He is helping out in our community but donating his time to keep the peace. And he does look handsome all decked out in his Sheriff gear. Hear that honey..... I am giving ya props!

I can't remeber where I got the idea, but I decided to try it. Finger painting with colored vanilla pudding. You put a few drops of food coloring in with vanilla pudding and let them go to town. It was a lot of fun to watch them get into it. It was also a big mess and clean up was a pain, but worth it I think. I love trying new things with the kids and so do they. It's little things in life that they will remember most. I am so blessed to have 3 sweet kids and to be able to stay home with them. I thank my sweet husband for working so hard.

I made Jakob a cowboy hat cake for his birthday. Every time I lifted him up to see it, he would try singing Happy birthday. Well I left the room for a minute and he climbed up on the counter and the cake looked so good he had to take a handful of it. I was going to fix it before the party, and then I decided that it was only fitting that Jake's cake had a Jakey handful taken out of it. The little thing he is sitting in and then wearing on his head is a cowboy hat "cooler". Fill it with ice and soda cans. Unfortunatly it didn't last past the loving of Jake, or it came with holes in it, one of the two. We didn't get to use it for his party.

NASCAR AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Well Mark finally got me to a NASCAR race. I had been knocking it for years, and he finally got me to go. All it took was free tickets to one of the suites, (which are air conditioned and catered) free hotel accomodations in a nice hotel and free gas to get there. : ) It's nice to go on someone else's dime. We also got tickets to pit road, and got to go behind the scenes to where all the action goes down during the race. I really did enjoy myself. And when you go "in style", it doesn't seem quite so red neck. : ) I was rooting for Mark Martin with Army car until I saw Jimmie Johnson, who is soooo cute, and then I had to go for him. Neither of them won, but it was a lot of fun. If I had to rate the pro sports Mark has taken me to, it would go Baseball #1, NASCAR #2, and football #3. It is a pretty big rush when you hear all those engines revving up, and thunder when they all take off together.

Jakob gets sh*t faced!
I went to get Jake out of his crib today, and this is how I found him. At first I thought that he had snuck a chocolate bar to bed with him, cuz it didn't really have a smell, but upon further inspection I found that yes indeed, he was sh*t faced. Pardon my french, but the little man had poop all over the side of his face from reaching down into his diappy and then....scratching an itch??? I don't know, but imagine my horror when I discovered that it was poop all over my babies face. Boys are soooo gross!!!!

I bought this little suit for Jakob to go to church and Christmas, and was trying to figure out what I would put him in to go with his Vampire Cape, and this just fit. He looked soooo cute. I got lots of compliments. His cape we found at the country store at Cracker Barrel, and when you turn it on, the little eyes light up all different colors and blink. It was great when it was dark. He looked awesome! I love Hallowee. It is my favorite time to sew for the kids. Loads of fun!

Savanna didn't want to call herself a vampire, so she called herself a "Scary Spider Princess" I put some spiders in her hair and on the cape of her dress. I made hers too, but Audrey's turned out better. She looked adorable though, but in my opinion she doesn't have to try to hard to pull off adorable.
