MAKING SPRING BREAK FUN EVEN WHEN WE STAYED AT HOME
So this spring break we didn't go on an annual trip and we needed ways to entertain ourselves. Jake played pirates and Audrey learned to use her sewing machine. She is making a cover for her feather blanket. It is many different colored blocks, also known as a patch work quilt. ; ) She did really good and caught on soooo quickly! She is gonna be as crafty as her mother if I have anything to do with it.....and I do.....so she is doomed to a life of cooking, and sewing, and crafts. Really there are worse lives to lead!

THE INCREDIBLE POOP BOY STRIKES AGAIN!
I know some of you have heard me complain about Jakie and his little habit of taking his diaper off and pooping everywhere. I know most of you thought to yourselves, "Surely you jest!! Sweet Jakob couldn't do a thing like that." Well here is proof. He was covered head to toes. It looked like he had a little poopoo toopay. (I don't know how you spell toopay) ; ) Anyhow, it was sick and wrong, but I love the little guy, so I do a lot of laundry, and try to get past the poo to look at his sweet face, and once he is bathed, I will kiss him again.

PLAYGROUP BEAUTY SHOP
On Fridays a group of us get together for a playgroup. This was my friday to host, and I was fixing Savanna's hair while they were all there. Then the other girls wanted their hair fixed, so I had to oblige! They are cute sweet kids. There are a few other kids that weren't there that day, and also Jake and a little boy named Tyler, but they didn't want their hair fixed. : )

FOOD STORAGE!
Each year for the past few years we have taken a portion of our tax return and stocked up on our food storage. This year we spent just under 800.00 and our shelves are full again. I was so proud of myself telling my mom that I didn't have to buy veggies in a year, or detergent, or fruits. She then told me I only got half of the spirit of food storage because you have to replace what you use so that you have a constant supply. Well....I am trying to figure it out. This is a load of food after we brought it in and the kids thought they were in HOG HEAVEN! Just don't look at the rest of the room, it was such a mess that day. Seems like everytime I clean a room the kids see it and think "Oh my, this is far to orderly, I must drop something on the floor so it looks better." I cleaned my room spotless every day for a week, and every day the kids messed it up again. MY ROOM! Not theirs, mine, where they shouldn't be messing!!!! I guess I am just a push over cuz I let them play where they want to play. There are worse things in life, and where I go....the kids follow. I did think it's funny that the things the kids are holding in the first pic was Neosporin, toothpaste and syrup. NOt the fruitsnacks, or m&m trail mix or something yummy!

THE GIRLS NEW BATHROOM!
In between the girls rooms there is a little Jack and Jill bathroom (means it only connects to their rooms, and not to the hall way). It was a kind of boring cream wallpaper that was way to grown up for them. So I turned it into a bathroom of LOVE!!!!! The walls are a very pale pink. I painted an ivory stripe about every 2 feet, and then painted ruby red hearts on the stripes, and yes, every heart is hand painted and it took me forever!!! It turned out soooooo cute!!!! I love the saying above the mirror!!! YES, YOU ARE THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL. Cuz that is what every little girl needs to hear!
