STRAIGHT A's FROM OUR FUTURE SUPER MODEL. : )
Not much to report on Miss Audrey. She has gotten straight A's all year long and is a bit of a teachers pet. Ms. Kratzer will ask Audrey to go to the teachers lounge and get her a soda, and she will have Audrey help grade papers, and she is helping to tutor some of the other kids. I don't know where she gets it. I was a little school rebel. Well she is still young and hopefully she will be more like her dad than me. Mark was a teachers aide in highschool, while I was skipping class and hanging out in the park. Audrey also fancies herself a bit of a budding model. These are two of her classic modeling poses. I think we are gonna have to stop wathcing Americas Next Top Model.

ONCE A BOYSCOUT.....
Sometimes Mark gets nostalgic for the good ole' days when he was a boy scout and he puts on his old shirt and goes in the back yard with a compass, and a magnifying glass. He finds it relaxes him and refreshes his senses. : ) Okay, really he is the scout master for our church and he was going on a camp out with the boys.

ALADDIN BABYSITS
Okay, here it is.....the evidence that I too can be a lazy mom. I was really trying to get something done, I dont even remember what it was, but the kids were bugging me, so I made them TV dinners. Well snacks anyway, and let Aladdin babysit for a while. I try not to do it often, but if it frees me up for 20 minutes then so be it!

ELVIS THE GUINEA PIG
Technically Elvis is Audrey's guinea pig, but Audrey doesn't pay him to much attention. Savanna on the other hand, really adores him and totes him around a lot. She was on the phone with her grandpa Rainey and told him how Elvis looked like he was going to poop on the floor but he didn't. Grandpa told her he would shoot Elvis if he pooped on his floor. Savanna asks me every day now if grandpa is going to shoot Elvis..........thanks A HEAP GRANDPA!!!! Please reassure Savi next time you talk to her that you will not be shooting her pet.

WILSON....THE CABBAGE
I was making egg rolls the other night, and Jakob was helping me. He picked up the half head of cabbage, and began to really love on it. He would take little nibbles, and then he would give it a big hug. He kept putting his little cheek on it, I think maybe because it was cool from the fridge, but it was so cute. At one point he dropped it and he began to cry, and be very frantic. I handed it back to him and we decided to name it Wilson. Notice how it looks like Jakob is listening to it....I can only wonder what Wilson might have had to tell him. Our egg rolls were fantastic by the way.

Savanna's Knight in shining armor!
So Savanna was always complaining that when she would put on her princess dresses, Jake wanted to wear one too. This was somewhat offensive to her as Jakob is a boy, and therefore should be wearing "King clothes". While out and about this morning, I happened upon a crazy little store called Tuesday Morning and low and behold I found.....King clothes for Jake. So now they can dress up in proper gender attire. : )

Leaves!!!
Well it's January in Arkansas, which means a couple of things for us Rainey's. 1. Mark will be gone for days at a time. (this is a 10 or more day stretch) 2. It WON'T be cold enough to snow 3. It will probably rain a lot. Yesterday, there was finally no rain, and it warmed up to around 62, so me and the little ones took advantage of it. Audrey was at dance class so she missed all the fun, although she is begining to think she is a bit to old for frolicking in leaves and such. But Savanna, Jakob and I had loads of fun raking leaves in to a pile, sloshing through the pile, and then throwing them all in the air. It's the little things in life that you just have to enjoy doing. Live, Love and Laugh. We are off to a good start for 2009, and have very high hopes. Love to all!
