A WEEK OF JAKOB
Well last week we celebrated Audrey, so this week I thought we should celebrate a week with Jakob. Jakob, Jakie, Jake, Jakers, Jaker the Baker, Buddy, Little Monkey, Dirty Smurf, Crib Midget, and so many more little pet names we have for him. He makes me laugh all day long, and he makes me go AAAAAHHHHH!!!! This little boy is a one in a million. Constantly on the go. I pray for his nap and bed times each day and evening, but then I can't wait to see his little smilng dimpled face the next morning. When Mark is traveling , he doesn't just ask how are the kids, he asks "So what did Jake pull today?" This is only a matter of days mind you. He put his face in his jelly sandwich. (Huckleberry, mmmmm!) He decided that a springform pan would make a great hat. He got into my sugar jar and made himself a sugar beard. As you can see by the close up, it was ear to ear, and although it was a pain to clean up, it was too funny to punish him. Also when he is done with his food that he is eating, he likes to put his dishes on his head. This day it was augratin rice with brocolli. When he was done, the bowl went on his head. He thought it was pretty funny until I stuck his head under the faucet to clean him off. That wasn't so fun. Left him smelling like cheesy brocolli for the rest of the day too. I just have to keep EVERYTHING locked up and Jakob proofed. Look out grandmas and grandpas!!! We are headed your way for the summer, and we are bringing the Jakenator!!!!!!!

SHE'S BEEN HERE A DECADE!!!
Audrey had a fun birthday party on Saturday. She is the big Numero 10!!!! She and her friends hit the skating rink, and when I say hit, that is what is meant. They spent most of the time picking themselves off the floor. Apperantly white kids can't skate, at least that is how it looked with all the little black kids skating circles around them. It was a fun party anyhow! She got lots of phone calls from her loved ones, and sweet gifts that she thanks all for! It is hard for me to believe that she is 10, and I know we all say that when our oldest gets older. She is turning into such a beautiful young lady! She is thoughtful, helpful, witty, spunky, and a lot like her mother which (as Mark will tell you) has it's good points and it's not so good points. (I like to think I am perfect, but miss the mark occasionally ; ) She is getting ready to end this year at school of which she made the merit list every semester. She has 3 dance recitals coming up, and we can't wait for the summer to come. We love our Audrey Girl!

WE MESS AND PLAY ALL THE DAY!!!
Jake couldn't smile for this last shot as he was on a very important phone call. This is what Savanna and Jakob do all day, mess and play mess and play. They have loads of fun together and never stop unless they are sleeping. Keeps me hopping that is for sure!

Our Jakie baby
The first two picutres are the veiw I see of Jakob regularly. In fact it is my orange shirt as I look down on him while he whines for me to pick him up. Then we see that Jakob couldn't wait for us to sit down at the table for dinner, so he just climbed up there and began helping himself to the hamburgers. Little stinker! We love our Jakers!

AUDREY'S NEW 'DOO!
So I make a hair appointment for Audrey at my hair salon. She is thinking she is big stuff getting to go to a real salon, and not cost cutters or something. We get there and she tells the stylist that she wants her hair boy short. I says "I dont think so! I am pulling out my Mom Card on this one." I tell the lady, I don't mind if it is short, but it still has to look cute and girly. So this is the compramise we came up with, and I gotta tell ya, it is a good cut. It is so cute on her and I realize that she is really growing up. We went into the store afterwards and the cashier asked her if she had lots of friends. She said she bet Audrey was really popular. Which of course made Audrey's day. Then we went to JC Penny's (the only shopping to speak of besides Walmart) and bought her a whole bunch of new clothes. Audrey got to be a princess on Saturday and Mom got to have fun with her daughter without worrying about the babies. (Dad kept them at home) Audrey's mouth kept dropping when she would say, I like this mom, and I would say "well throw it on the pile". Every once in a while you just have to conquer the store you are in, and we conquered Penny's. It was a very fun mommy /daughter morning.

You know those mornings when you wake up and you little boy is smiling so big in he New York Yankie's pj's and your oldest daughter says "hey mom can I help make breakfast?" and your little 3 year old has the most frizzy blonde hair that you know says she slept well???? Well Saturday was one of those and I felt so blessed to have been trusted to raise these 3 beautiful kids. Mark and I count our blessings always. Look at our 3 little huckleberries!
